Description
HOUSE AND GROUNDS
Tucked away in a quiet corner of Knappswood Close sits Trelleck House, a substantial and impressive modern family home of over 4,000 sq ft. Set in grounds of 0.30 acres, there are superb rural views, which make the large south facing garden an ideal spot to while away sunny afternoons.
This really is a superb family home with remarkable proportions and masses of natural light. The large open plan kitchen is a triumph, with bespoke, hard wood units built by Mark Wilkinson and complete with a Quooker hot tap and stunning Falcon range cooker. The kitchen, master bedroom and office all have air conditioning installed.
As with everything at Trelleck House, all five bedrooms are of substantial scale, with a hugely impressive en suite master bedroom, and two further en suite rooms. The second floor is incredibly versatile and is currently used as a large home office, but could easily be used as a games room, annexe flat, gym or cinema room.
Trelleck House offers a rare opportunity – a modern house of great proportions, with a large garden, rural views and located in one of the areas most popular villages. A must see that we highly recommend.
OUR THOUGHTS ON UPPER BASILDON
Upper Basildon is a highly sought after village positioned on the edge of the Berkshire Downs, with the River Thames located nearby, making this an idyllic spot with inexhaustible options for lovers of the outdoors. The Thameside village of Pangbourne is close by, where there are a number of superb artisan shops including Greens butchers, The Pangbourne Cheese Shop and Birch Bread to name a few. Additionally, there are excellent café’s and restaurants in Pangbourne, as well as a wide selection of fantastic pubs in and the surrounding villages.
Newbury, Reading and Oxford are all within striking distance and the property is also well positioned for the M4, with Junction 13 only 7.5 miles away. Crossrail, which is due to be completed soon, will provide a fast connection from Reading to The City. There is a wide choice of excellent schooling, both state and private.
