Description
On the ground floor of the house, there is a living/dining room, a separate kitchen and a downstairs WC. The living/dining room spans the entire width of the house with a large square bay, and double doors onto the garden. This room is filled with soft light and has white walls and shutters in the bay. At the kitchen end of the room there is a good space for the dining table. The kitchen has lovely contemporary cabinets, with shaker-style units in a forest green and solid wood counters; there are louvered shutters at the window which faces south, and overlooks the front garden. A breakfast bar has room for two people. Integrated appliances include a double electric oven with grill, a gas hob, an integrated washing machine, an integrated dishwasher, and a fridge freezer. There is also a cupboard housing the Ideal LOGIC combination boiler.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. The two larger bedrooms have generous fitted wardrobes, and there is another large cupboard on the landing. The light and airy bathroom has a south-facing window, and neutral décor, with a white suite and a shower over the bath. On the top floor of the house you come to a wonderful master bedroom suite, with a wall of fitted wardrobes, a dressing area and a shower room. Another cupboard on the landing provides storage into the eaves.
Outside, the garden has been beautifully landscaped, with separate zones for relaxing at different times of day. There is a patio close to the house, and a lawn at the far end of the garden is bordered by a raised bed which has mature shrubs. There is also a pretty garden at the front of the house, and the house has a driveway that comfortably fits two vehicles, as well as a large garage.
Hurstpierpoint is a thriving Sussex village that is well connected and can be reached from Brighton in 15 minutes via the A23. The nearest train station is at Hassocks which is only a ten minute drive from the house, where services to both London and the south, run regularly. A five minute walk from the house, Tilley's Copse is an ancient wood, which has bluebells in the spring. Other local attractions include Washbrooks Family Farm and Sussex Prairie Gardens.
