Council tax banding - C
Predicated energy rating - B
The Predicted Energy Assessment (PEA) is an assessment of the energy efficiency of a building that is yet to be built. Once the building is complete, it will be replaced by the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). Please note that the rating may change once the final EPC has been issued. This is due to recent changes in the way the PEAs/EPCs are calculated.
What is shared ownership?
Shared ownership is another way to buy your own home. You buy a percentage, and pay rent on the rest. The housing association owns part of it - but you're living there, you decorate it, and you decide when to sell.
Buying a percentage means a smaller deposit and smaller mortgage. It's a sooner first step on the ladder for lots of people. Usually, you can also carry on buying shares, to own it 100%.
The properties are sold on a 990 year shared ownership lease.
Who qualifies?
Anyone who does not currently own or part own a property and has a household income of less than £80,000 per year can apply.
How to apply
You can apply for one of our shared ownership homes by completing our application form.
Your affordability will be assessed based on the information you provide on the application form. NCHA will make an offer based on the amount you can afford, between 10 - 75%. If your application is successful a non-refundable reservation fee of £350 is required to reserve your new home, this amount goes towards your deposit on completion.
