The listed building has been restored on the outside and structurally consolidated, including foundations, facades, floors, roofs, and insulation. The interior renovation is partial and multipurpose, with its future use pending, whether as a hotel, corporate or social building, prestigious private residence, or multi-family housing.

The castle has a courtyard enclosed by walls and battlements, as well as a square watchtower, which give it a stately and fortified character. Within the walled enclosure is an additional house in need of restoration (house no. 1), ideal as housing for service or security personnel. This property was the former residence of the Viscount of Vilanova de Cabanyes, a prominent figure in the region, whose lands stretched from Torre Valentina in Playa de Aro to La Bisbal.

There are various publications and books chronicling the Viscount's public and private life, including his participation in the Carlist Wars, his friendship with General Weyler, governor of Cuba, and darker episodes such as currency counterfeiting and a supposedly false death. Today, local cultural organizations continue to research the castle, the surrounding farmhouses, and the Viscount's figure, also linking him to General Delgado.

B) Six farmhouses totaling 1,250 m²
Former homes for the Viscount's workers, these farmhouses, of varying sizes and characteristics, lined up along the road, forming the old village or neighborhood of Cabanyes. All of them require renovation.

C) Newly built 150m² farmhouse
This newly built building will be developed to complement the property's offering.

The castle has been restored externally and structurally consolidated, with the remaining interior and exterior works pending. These can be adapted to their final use, either as a private residence, a hotel with up to 18 rooms (incorporating two additional houses), or as multi-family housing. The farmhouses require complete renovation, with the exception of the new construction, which is yet to be built.
