Description
Benson Lodge is a bespoke, two bedroom detached lodge situated in a popular and exclusive country park development, north of Kendal town centre. The lodge sits in an enviable location with views over the tarn towards open countryside in the distance.
The lodge is approached via gravel parking for several vehicles. Wooden steps with a balustrade open onto a decked walkway, which extends down to the front door as well as to the private rear patio. The front door opens into a vestibule, with access to a utility cupboard and an internal door that opens through into the hallway. The central hallway provides access to the main reception room, two bedrooms and bathroom. There is also a large cupboard which houses the boiler, and an additional cupboard providing storage space.
The open plan living room is a fabulous light and airy reception space, bathed in natural sunlight from triple aspect windows and glazed doors opening onto the decking. The design of the room has created three separate entertaining areas; a large lounge/diner which extends across the front of the lodge and features an electric fire plus a kitchen area off the lounge. The kitchen is fitted with a range of light grey gloss storage units and a complementary three-sided worktop, which incorporates a one and a half sink drainer with a mixer tap. There is also a cooker, built-in dishwasher, microwave and an American sized fridge/freezer (included in the sale along with furniture).
Down the hall, you will find two surprisingly spacious bedrooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom is a fantastic sized double room, complemented with an en-suite and sliding mirrored doors which open into a walk-in wardrobe with open shelving, drawers and hanging space. The en-suite comprises of a three-piece suite which includes a large shower enclosure with a wall-mounted mixer shower, WC and wash hand basin with vanity storage below. The second bedroom is a good size double, complemented with a built-in wardrobe and overhead storage. The bathroom is fitted with a three piece suite, comprising a P-shaped bath with an overhead shower, WC and wash hand basin with vanity storage below.
Outside, the lodge has a raised decking, which extends across the left side of the lodge, with the addition of a private patio area to the rear. Wooden steps and a balustrade ascend to a raised decked seating area and a small garden area to sit and enjoy the picturesque views towards Whinfell and the Howgills.
