Situated at the end of a terrace of pretty period houses, this attractive former railway workers cottage offers a light and welcoming interior that has been much improved by our current owners. Entering the cottage you step into a lovely open plan living/dining room, with windows to both the front an rear elevation, within the living area there is a handsome feature fireplace with a brick surround, Oak mantle and a smart cast iron wood burning stove. An open plan staircase rises to the first floor and provides a degree of separation between the living room and the dining area. There is also a useful under stairs storage cupboard. The dining area has plenty of space for a good sized dining table and a large window that overlooks the courtyard garden.
Beyond the living/dining room is a chic modern kitchen that has recently been installed and comprises soft grey coloured traditional style units with a contrasting dark grey counter top and butlers sink. There is an integrated oven and hob, plumbing for a dishwasher and space for a washer/dryer. Cool geometric tiles provide a splashback behind the kitchen units and neutral porcelain tiles can be found on the floor. A lovely double glazed stable door leads out to the courtyard.
On the first floor you will find the properties two bedroom and shower room, to the front is a good sized double room and to the rear is a lovely guest room or children's room. Finally, our current owners have transformed the former bathroom into a luxurious shower room with a walk in double shower, contemporary white w.c and sink, stone effect wall and floor tiles, high gloss vanity unit and a heated towel rail.
Outside there is a shared courtyard garden that has recently been improved by the installation of a smart decked area and outside lighting, as well as the aforementioned garage/workshop to the side.
The cottage is beautifully presented throughout in soft neutral tones and benefits from double glazing, gas central heating and no onward chain.
