Description

We know Richmond inside out and assumed we'd seen it all. Then along comes this delightful home of exceptional charm...and we were bowled over. It felt like we were seeing Richmond through a different lens - and we absolutely love it!

We had an emotional reaction that's hard to describe. It's all so wonderfully relaxing - and we're not talking squidgy sofas here. There's some indefinable quality about the space itself, and its situation, that just makes you feel so calm, soothed and restored. Honestly, we didn't want to leave.

Much of Richmond's appeal is the sense that it's part town, part country. Whilst this house is only a few minutes from central Richmond, located off The Green and set within a cobbled courtyard, the feeling here is very much a country vibe. The bucolic feel is further enhanced by the delightful haven of garden, encircled by mature shrubbery with their lush, tumbling foliage. It gets better - a little wooden gate leads you to a vast, shared expanse of lush lawn bordered by a textured contour of trees of many shapes and sizes. This is as beautiful as it is rare.

The french windows in the rear bedroom provide the best vantage point to take in such a perfect scene, but it can also be enjoyed at ground level from the pretty flagstone terrace that's large enough for al fresco dining with friends or a perfect spot for coffee or a glass of wine.
