Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very central location, everything is in walking distance, with Brighton station just 5 mins away. Shops and nice restaurants in the area as well.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Unfortunately replies have at times been very slow and needing to be chased from management, but maintenance team has been great!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Area can be a little noisy in the night due to how central it is, however that‘s only an issue with the windows open, great noise isolation when closed.

    Manager's response

Hi CS, Thank you for the lovely review, I know that Adam will appreciate the fabulous weekend. On behalf of the Team, I do apologize for the inconvenience of any delayed response; I will be working closer with the team to ensure that these are followed through in a timely manner. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback, and for choosing York & Elder as your "home".

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is convenient being 5 mins from Brighton station and 20 from the beach, but the area itself is a little rough

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Maxine has been really helpful helping be deal with issues with my bills and my meter, as well as keeping me informed on building updates

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

that the roof terraces close at a certain time and the bin chutes are usually closed

    Manager's response

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living at York & Elder means I don't always have to drive as local transport links so close by makes everywhere accessible! I don't hear much traffic noise from my apartment but in the summer you do get a bit more noise from local pubs Bin collections have sometimes been delayed but the staff here try to manage this the best they can.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Issues have been dealt with and communicated well.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about BTR properties earlier as it has really helped with the long term security for me.

    Manager's response

Hi Jess B, Thank you for your valuable feedback, the team and I are delighted that you are enjoying the community and facilities at York & Elder and that you have found your new "home". Kind regards, Serena

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location and surroundings with plenty of things to do in a short walking distance or via the buses one street over. There is a minimal amount of sound you can hear from the street even with the windows open

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Management have always responded within 1-2 hours and Adam in maintenance always does great work

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish i could have known about the lack of parking permits

    Manager's response

Hi Maurice O, "Thank you" for such a lovely review, the Team and particularly Adam will be thrilled to read your feedback. It's great that you find York & Elder (your home) to be beautiful inside and out, along with the extensive facilities which are available to the community. I believe that we do have some car park spaces left to lease, if you would like to reach out to the Team, and they will be happy to assist. Thank you once again, Kind Regards, Serena

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Convenient location except for parking which is unfortunately decided by the Council. Other than this it is close to the shops and train station. The property itself is great and the development slightly better than the sister property at Hove.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Adam and Yannis have been super helpful in resolving issues and the front desk support has been exceptional with Anat, Maxine and Bea.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

None. Everything was explained upfront so there were no surprises.

    Manager's response

Thank you for your great review; the team and I are delighted to receive your feedback. It's great to hear that you're enjoying our enviable location, along with the beautiful design of the property. Thank you for choosing York & Elder as your "home" and for being part of our community.
