We asked the vendors about their lovely family home and this is what they had to say. 

  1. What first attracted us to the property? 

We were blown away with the open plan and aspect onto the garden as you entered the living room.  The downstairs living area, kitchen, dining room and snug all feed into one another but also feel like separate rooms.  It's a deceptively spacious property which was a great lure for us at the time as well as the large garden given we had just welcomed our 1st born weeks prior to moving in in 2017. It offered great value given the size, layout and quantity of bedrooms and bathrooms on offer when compared to other properties in the area. Working in London, a 5 minute drive to Hildenborough station was also a massive bonus for us.  

  1. What improvements have you made to the house ?
We installed a window into the snug fairly early to encourage even more light into the downstairs area. We have carefully decorated the property to give a more homely feel (it was a little clinical when we first arrived having been brand new developed by a private developer).  We have added a new gate to the rear, bringing the aesthetics in line with the anthracite doors and window colouring. We also installed the large ‘Skinners’ shed at the rear of the property, installed an isolated electrical system to the rear of garden to light up the lovely oak tree we have in the centre of the garden as well as powering the hot tub we installed together with a 5m x 3m home office and outside social area which has a skylight. 
 
  1. What have you enjoyed about living there ?
It's a quiet and peaceful area that has served us well bringing up three young children.  It's such a safe area, the neighbours are welcoming and helpful. We cycle down to Tonbridge Judians and Tonbridge Junior Football Club making access to town really easy.  We love the size of the property, particularly downstairs which opens up to a large open plan living environment with loads of light given the bi fold doors which open up onto one of the best garden plots in the vicinity.  The downstairs bedroom and associated bathroom have been a great advantage for us when having our parents or friends stay.  The snug, we've used as a playroom, is right next to the kitchen so you can crack on with jobs safe in the knowledge you know what the kids are up to. 

Location
The property is situated in a quiet residential location in the attractive village of Hildenborough  between the bustling towns of Sevenoaks and Tonbridge, but close enough to rural areas to allow a quiet country life. It is well provided with educational establishments, including the popular Stocks Green and Hildenborough Primary schools, and a good selection of private kindergarten and prep schools. It benefits from a mainline station to London (Charing Cross/Cannon Street line) and there is also a commuter coach service with the A21 bypass links to the M25 motorway network.
