Description
The house has been owned and occupied by a young family for the past six years, relocation forces a reluctant sale. The house was originally listed in mid-November and has just (April 25) been reduced by £50,000, a reflection of the vendors seriousness to sell. There is no chain, and the house now represents excellent value for money.
The accommodation extends to almost 1000 sq ft on ground and first floor. The front door opens to an entrance vestibule which leads to open plan living space with a sitting room to the front of the property and dining room with French doors into the rear courtyard at the rear. A long galley style fully fitted kitchen is accessed beyond the dining room.
At first floor the principal bedroom is an excellent size (15'7 x 12'5) and extends the full width of the house. The room is fitted with bespoke wardrobes/cupboards. The second bedroom is also a generous double and has fitted wardrobes. The bedrooms are served by a luxurious family bathroom with a roll top bath and walk in shower.
Unlike so many other properties of a similar age and style that are located within such close proximity of the town centre, the property benefits from a small west facing rear garden that provides a tranquil area to relax on sunny days. Surprising for such a central location.
New Street is a one-way road which was once very busy as a cut through from the town centre to The Downs however changes to Altrincham Town Centre one way system has dramatically reduced passing traffic so New Street has become a very much quieter road yet is in the heart of the town.
All in all this is a lovely property that has many appealing features, in our view more desirable than many other roads close to Hale and Altrincham with period terrace homes, it has scope for improvement, is very realistically priced and we would strongly recommend an early internal inspection.
