The present owners have obtained a resolution to grant planning for a scheme of 234 apartments, including a 9 storey block on the Maylands Avenue frontage (Dacorum Borough Council Planning ref 21/04556/MFA). This proposal includes a 35% affordable housing provision. The planning consent has not been finalised and has not been implemented.

Dacorum Borough Council view the sites as an important gateway development and will require good quality frontage.
