Description

Built by Muir Homes and located in a fantastic modern development close to the shores of the Firth of Clyde, Silverbirch Wynd is home to three modern buildings that consist of spacious well laid and beautifully finished apartments. Number 6 is arguably the best in the development, being slightly higher up and taking advantage of 180 degree views across mature trees, the Firth of Clyde and the hills beyond. The apartment itself occupies a top floor position and the current owners have substantially improved, modernised and upgraded the property. Impeccably presented throughout, the décor is tasteful, immaculately finished and with a high end modern specification found throughout.

The development is set amidst landscaped gardens that provide plenty of parking for residents and visitors. The apartment has its own dedicated parking space. On entering the building through a security entry system, the communal halls and stairwell are very well presented.

On entering the apartment itself, the large and welcoming reception hall has extensive built-in storage and it gives access to a fantastic semi open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen layout. The kitchen is divided from the main lounge by a central entertainment plinth and the kitchen is fitted with counter level units in a beautiful dark blue colour, contrasted by high end work surfaces, splashbacks and a range of modern appliances. The lounge is a comfortable living space and in one corner of the lounge, (forming part of the turret feature of the building) is a large dining space with windows taking in magnificent views over the Firth of Clyde.

Moving along the hall from the lounge, there are three very generously proportioned double bedrooms, all of which are exquisitely finished and with the master bedroom having a run of built-in wardrobes along one wall. Sliding one of the wardrobe doors to the side, you enter a “hidden” ensuite shower which has recently been refurbished and has a wc, wash hand basin and a sizeable shower cubicle. On the other side of the hall there is a well proportioned bathroom, again being fully tiled and with a modern white suite comprising of a bath with shower above, wc and vanity wash hand basin. The flat is warmed by an effective modern system of gas fired central heating with new graphite coloured radiators throughout. The flat also benefits from inset ceiling downlighting and all the carpets are new and of a high quality.

Castlebank is located between Langbank and Port Glasgow and enjoys a very peaceful, almost traffic free setting, elevated high above the A8 dual carriageway that links Port Glasgow to Glasgow and Greenock. The property is perfectly situated and is only a short drive from Glasgow International Airport and just beyond this, the city centre of Glasgow which can be reached in around twenty minutes. Woodhall railway station is a short walk away providing regular services to Glasgow and beyond. There are also railway stations to be found in Port Glasgow and the nearby town of Langbank. State schools can be found in Langbank and Port Glasgow, with exclusive private schooling at St. Columba’s School in Kilmacolm, which is only a short distance away. The immediate local area has good leisure facilities and Gleddoch House, Mar Hall and the towns of Kilmacolm and Bridge of Weir are not far away. There are also good leisure facilities in the Inverclyde area including swimming pools, playing fields and parks. EPC Band - C.
