Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, is about an hour and a half drive by road and has a modern shopping centre, hotels, restaurants, theatre, cinemas, hospital, and a mainline railway station. Inverness Airport, some eight miles east, has a good variety of services to destinations both domestic and overseas.

From Inverness take the A9 and then the A835 to Ullapool. When entering Ullapool continue along the A835 North Road which bears right. Continue until you see a sign for Morefield and turn left onto Kanachrine Place.

Follow the road until you reach the left turn for Morefield Place, just after the Morefield Hotel. Drive along Morefield Place and take the left into Kanachrine Court. Number 5 is at the end of the road on the right-hand side.
