The Property
Penthouse Flat is the ideal North Norfolk bolthole as a primary residence, second home, or holiday rental investment. The apartment, located in the heart of Sheringham, provides superb accommodation on the building's top floor, with flexible open plan living and an excellent roof terrace with wonderful views.
The accommodation consists of a spacious open plan sitting room/kitchen and dining area, two double bedrooms, a dressing room, a third bedroom/study and a bathroom.
The apartment is reached by a main entrance door, which leads up two flights of steps to the front door.
All rooms are located off the hallway at the top of the stairs. The open plan living room is spacious, flooded with natural light from windows on all sides, and has the kitchen at the far end, the sitting room in the middle, and the dining area behind. The U-shaped kitchen has built-in floor units, a marble effect countertop with an in-built bespoke wood feature breakfast bar, an under-counter fan-assisted oven, a separate four-ring ceramic hob, a one and a half sink, built-in dishwasher and space for a washing machine. The centre of the room has a modern flame effect fire and plenty of space for relaxing in front of the fire on comfortable sofas. The current owners have created a utility area in a large alcove to the side with space for an under-counter fridge and freezer, sliding shelves and storage above. There is also plenty of room for a large dining table by the windows overlooking the heritage railway.
The main two bedrooms and bathroom are located directly off the living space. The principal bedroom is a generous size and has an original feature fireplace, wood panelled wall, a window to the side and adjoins the dressing room with full height wardrobes on two of the walls.
Bedroom two is also a large double, has a feature wood panelled wall and a jack and jill wardrobe, which adjoins the dressing room, and a window to the side.
The bathroom has a walk in shower, a hand wash basin with storage below, loo and a heated towel rail.
On the opposite side of the living area, beyond the kitchen, are steps down into the third bedroom/study, principally used as a study by the current owners but could also be used as another bedroom, with plenty of room, under the eaves for a low-level king size bed. This room has Velux windows and overlooks the town and the sea.
Outside
The large decked roof terrace at the rear offers fantastic 180-degree rooftop views overlooking the town and the sea and countryside beyond. The perfect place for morning coffee and al fresco dining in the warmer months.
Parking is accessible in the town, or a permit may be obtained for the station carpark opposite.

The Location
Penthouse Flat is in a wonderful location in the centre of the town and a short walk from the beach.
Sheringham, a traditional seaside town was once a fishing village and that heritage is still evident today. Sheringham’s Blue Flag beach is dog and family friendly and has scenic walks along the promenade, with a row of colourful beach huts. There are excellent primary and secondary schools, doctor surgeries (nearby Cromer has a small hospital providing outpatient and some A&E services) and train services to Norwich.
The town has an excellent choice of independent shops, pubs, cafes, tea rooms, museums and a theatre. A market is held on Saturdays throughout the year and Wednesdays from April to November.
Sheringham has many carnivals and festivals throughout the year, including the famous Crab & Lobster Festival and Sheringham Carnival. There is also a Steam Gala in the Autumn, celebrating the heritage North Norfolk Railway which runs from Sheringham to Holt.
Sheringham Park, owned by the National Trust, is close by and offers breath taking views of the sea along miles of hilly countryside covered in purple heather and gorse.
