The Basingstoke Canal runs through the parish past Ash Wharf on its way to join the River Wey Navigation near Byfleet in Surrey. Ash Common is towards the east of the canal and is an area of heathland with restricted public access. There are a number of historic buildings in Ash including St Peters church and Ash Manor. The parish is well served with leisure facilities for sport and recreation which include public tennis courts, a football pitch and skate board park, with a dual purpose sport centre situated at the Ash Manor School. The school’s facilities include indoor tennis courts and an adjacent gym and are available for school and the general public.
