Description
This was originally a coach house but in the early to mid 19th Century its roof was raised and it formed part of a terrace with adjacent houses. It was Grade II listed in 2005 as a building of architectural and historic interest, as part of a group of similar buildings leading out of town, originally from one of the medieval town gates.
The house was extensively restored between 1997 and 2002 including damp proofing, re-plastering where necessary, re-rendering of the external part of the shared wall with number 13, timber treatment, work on the lead gulley between the two roofs, a quarry tile floor in the kitchen (replacing floorboards), fitted kitchen cabinets and sink, and installation of a central heating system for all floors operated from a Worcester/Bosch gas boiler located in the kitchen. This continues to be in good working order.
The house is in need of further renovation
The property comprises of entrance leading into the porch area with inner door into the hallway laid to victorian tiles . Off to the left of the hallway leads to the well proportioned light and airy living room . Storage cupboard under the stairs . To the back of the house the kitchen is light and airy with double aspect windows and back door leading to the rear courtyard . Plumbing for a fridge and gas cooker with gas hob . Worcester boiler . Stairs leading to the first floor with larger than average family bathroom with sink pedastal bath with shower over and w.c.
Double bedroom with feature fireplace . Good size light and airy master bedroom /second sitting room with feature fireplace which leads off to the Ensuite shower room .
