When our clients first bought their home nearly 20 years ago, Crosspool was their dream location. The area’s excellent infant, junior, and secondary schools, along with its family-friendly atmosphere and nearby parks and playgrounds, made it the perfect place to settle down.
They’ve cherished living on Dransfield Road ever since. In spring, the tree-lined street comes alive with blossom, and its wide layout means parking is never an issue. They’ve always appreciated the privacy of not being overlooked at the front and have loved how much natural light fills the house. One thing they’ll truly miss is the stunning views from the front bedrooms.
You enter the property through the front door into a welcoming hallway, with access to the downstairs shower room, utility room, living room, dining room, kitchen, and stairs to the first floor.
The living room is a lovely space, filled with natural light from the bay window and featuring a wood-burning stove — perfect for cosy winter evenings. The dining room easily accommodates a large table and opens onto the rear garden through patio doors, creating a great flow for entertaining. Next door, the extended kitchen offers sleek gloss units above and below the worktop, providing plenty of storage. There’s also an external door leading to the garden. There’s room for a range cooker, dishwasher, and tall fridge/freezer to meet all your cooking needs. The utility room has more units for storage, sink/drainer, space/plumbing for a washing machine, tumble dryer and more storage in the cupboard under the stairs. The shower room has a shower cubicle, WC and wash basin.
Upstairs, the first floor has three bedrooms and a bathroom. Bedroom one is a double overlooking the rear garden, while bedroom two is another double at the front, boasting stunning views. Bedroom three is a versatile single room currently used as a home office. The bathroom includes a bath with a shower over, WC, wash basin, and towel radiator.
Outside, the front offers off-street parking with potential for extension, and steps lead up to the front door. The rear garden starts with a gravelled area, followed by a couple of steps up to a lawn, with a patio and further gravel section at the end — perfect for relaxing or entertaining.

Crosspool is an incredibly popular suburb west of Sheffield City Centre. Its popularity is due to its easy access to the city centre, many hospitals and both universities as well as the surrounding stunning countryside including Redmires Reservoirs, Wyming Brook, Rivelin Valley and even Ladybower Reservoir. Another attractive feature is the local schools that are rather good and outstanding by Ofsted for all ages. Within Crosspool there are fantastic independent cafes, coffee shops, butchers, a pharmacy, a dentist, and hairdressers as well as GT News, Tesco and Spar.
