Description

An immaculately presented, substantial family home, enjoying a tucked away position on the fringes of the highly-regarded village of Burwash in the heart of East Sussex.

Description

Lyndhurst is an attractive, detached, modern home, tucked away from sight on the fringes of the village of Burwash. This very spacious, light-filled and beautifully presented house offers nearly 3300 sq ft of family-friendly, flexible accommodation, which can be arranged to suit.

The reception hall leads to three large reception rooms, currently arranged to provide a formal drawing room, a dining room and a more informal family room. There are two further reception rooms, used by our clients as a study and music room, ideal for accommodating today's working from home needs, often, for more than one party. The kitchen/breakfast room includes a range cooker, American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, with attractive base and wall units providing good storage and preparation space. Double doors lead out onto the rear terrace and there are also double doors which lead through to the impressive family room which creates a very easy and sociable layout. A utility room, with direct access to the garden and a separate WC complete the ground floor.

On the first floor, the galleried landing gives access to five double bedrooms and three bathrooms. The impressive principal suite sits to the far right of the home and has a dressing area, large en-suite bathroom and a juliette balcony to the rear which gives pleasant views over the garden and open countryside beyond. There are four further bedrooms, one of which is also en-suite, and all of which have fitted wardrobes, together with a separate family bathroom.

Outside: Lyndhurst is approached via a gated entrance leading to the private driveway with parking for several vehicles and an open double carport.

To the rear there is a beautifully landscaped garden and terrace. The paved terrace wraps around the home, and gives way to the lawned area which includes a pretty water feature, various seating areas, and a summerhouse and hot tub, providing a wonderful space for outdoor entertaining.

Lyndhurst is just over two miles of the centre of the High Street within the pretty village of Burwash, which benefits from a range of excellent local amenities including a general store with post office, butchers, florist, public houses, a highly regarded primary school with an "Outstanding" Ofsted report, playing fields and medical centre. The surrounding area is superb for cycling and walking being within the High Weald National Landscape.
