Description

Stepping in through the front door and into the hallway, you find a cloakroom and stairs rising to the first floor. On your left is the study, a great size and perfect for those who need to work from home. Across the hall is the living room with dual aspect windows. At the rear of the house is the main hub, an open plan kitchen/dining room. The kitchen has a range of wall and base units, and is fitted with a water softener and integrated white goods to include; dishwasher, fridge/freezer, AEG double oven, gas hobs and extractor fan. The kitchen island has a waterfall top with a Silestone worktops. There is ample space for a large dining table to host the whole family around. At the far end of the room is space for a small sofa and armchairs, perfect for your morning coffee, with patio doors out to the garden and further dual aspect windows. There is also a large unstairs cupboard with power and 4 fibre-optic hub. From the kitchen you have access into the utility room, with space and plumbing for a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as additional storage cupboards. There is also an understairs storage cupboard.

To the first floor are four double bedrooms, one of which has a built-in wardrobe, and two have en-suite shower rooms. Completing the accommodation is the family bathroom with a shower cubicle and separate bath.

Externally, the rear garden is mainly laid to lawn and south-easterly facing, with a new shed benefiting from built in shelving, and patio area closest to the house. The vendors are also going to be planting some beautiful colourful plants to the border of the garden. An outside tap has also been added to the external wall. There is side access which takes you round to the single garage with power and light as well as additional storage in the rafters. This garage benefits from an extra-wide doorway, allowing you to store a car sufficiently within. In front of the garage is driveway parking for at least two cars. Being located on the corner plot means you benefit from a large front garden with a paved path to the front door.

Shrivenham is one of the larger villages within the Vale of the White Horse and without question one of the most desirable in the area, with a thriving community. The village is located circa 5 miles north-east of Swindon and circa 5 miles south-west of the market town of Faringdon. The village is ideally located for access to the M4 (8 minutes away) and the A420 leading to Oxford and beyond. In addition to the Memorial Hall on the corner of Highworth Road and newly built primary school and pre-school in Raven Way, there is a lovely tree-lined high street with shops, restaurants, public houses, a doctors’ surgery, chemist, Methodist church and parish church. There is a frequent bus service through the village from Swindon to Oxford and back, linking to rail services and airports.
