ORNOS: The word «Ornos» means «out of the wind (windless)» according to the local dialect. The name of the district emanates from the «opposite» region which is called «Korfos» that means «blustery when the northern wind is blowing». Both the bay of Ornos and the beach are two of the most popular areas in Mykonos. The neighbourhood affords a wide range of amenities and it is a frequent anchorage of a lot of boats and yachts. The region of Ornos extends in the south side of Mykonos island and it boasts both developed and resort environs. Last but not least Ornos is just three kilometres away from Mykonos «chora» (the capital town of Mykonos) and is accessible by car in just a few minutes.
