The property was built for the painter, Alfred William Parsons who commissioned the Scottish architect Andrew Noble Prentice between 1903 and 1911 to design a fine Cotswold stone house in Arts and Crafts style. Luggers Hall is Grade II Listed and built of Cotswold stone beneath a stone tiled roof with stunning moulded cornices and ceiling roses in the principal rooms.
The house itself is equally as impressive as the stunning gardens. Starting with the reception hall with an open-well staircase with wooden balustrade and iconic octagonal dome with lantern above. For an artist, one of the most important rooms in the house is a studio, so Prentice produced for Parsons a room of palatial size with a tall tripartite window, now used as the formal drawing room with panelled walls and dressed stone fireplace.
The family room and dining room offer well-proportioned rooms with fireplaces and an abundance of light through the bay windows. There is a well-equipped kitchen with Aga and breakfast bar with an adjacent breakfast room overlooking the garden.
There is a spacious south facing double aspect master suite with balcony overlooking the garden and 4 further bedrooms with 4 additional bathrooms and an ironing room on the first floor.
The second floor includes 2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen/living room, ideal as a self-contained staff or guest apartment.
GARDENS & GROUNDS

Luggers Hall contains many of Parsons trademark features including the large walled garden laid to lawn with a central water feature, parterre, nut walk where hazel brushes form an arch, stone summerhouse, arbour built with stone pillars winding through the herbaceous borders and surrounding the main lawn (croquet lawn).
Further individual areas include the white garden, stables, greenhouses, herb garden, triple garage with storage above and further outbuildings.
The gardens extend to almost 2 acres. In addition, there is a part walled paddock extending to nearly 1.4 acres.
