The White House was originally a barn dating from the C17th, later divided into two cottages, most-likely in the mid C19th. In was converted into one singular dwelling in 2003.
It is built in brick with painted and timbered elevations under a thatched roof. Grade II Listed, the cottage was refurbished in 2007/2008 including damp proofing, re-wiring and re-plumbing. However, it is in need of further modernisation and/or completion works.
The property was re-thatched in Turkish reed in 1998/1999 and the ridge of the thatch was replaced in 2019.
