The village of Lockeridge is surrounded by rolling countryside and has a rich history with evidence of settlement dating back to neolithic times, today, as well as a thriving community, there is a popular pub, ‘The Who’d a Thought it’ and a well thought of Church of England aided primary school as well as other small businesses include an artisan bakery and garage. Marlborough is roughly four miles away and offers an excellent range of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, including a Waitrose supermarket, Rick Stein restaurant as well as a cinema, doctors' surgery and dentist. Pewsey provides direct train services into London Paddington and the West Country. Larger towns in the area include Hungerford, Newbury, Salisbury, Swindon and Devizes.
