Whitlock and Heaps are a family owned and run company who were founded in 1948 and are one of Brighton and Hoves most established estate agents offering an unrivalled wealth of local knowledge and experience from both our Hove and Portslade offices.

Our firms aim is to maintain the high level of standards that have been expected and achieved over the years, with many clients having sold and purchased their properties through our firm now recommending their children to us to purchase or rent their first home.

Our firm recently acquired Cales and Co estate agents who have been established for over thirty years and themselves are a well-respected independent firm. Cales and Whitlock and Heaps have had a close working relationship for a number of years through Peter and Steve Caiels' friendship and mutual respect with the firms sharing Christmas Parties for over twenty years and in more recent years Jack married Steve's daughter Nyree. When the opportunity arose for the two firms to combine it was a merger that was too perfect a fit to not complete.

We now have offices at both ends of New Church Road and between the two we are in a position to encompass a strong portion of the market yet retain the personable and direct approach we focus on having with our clients.

Whitlock & Heaps have a very proactive letting and management department offering a personal and professional service tailored to meet each individual client. Covering all aspects of property management from an initial valuation through to a full management service. We are members of ARLA (The Association of Residential Letting Agents), NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents) and OFT (Ombudsman). Being governed by their high standards and regulations, we can offer our clients added protection and the security of knowing that their property is being managed by a Letting agent that follows a structured code of conduct.

We cover all aspects of the letting of your property giving you peace of mind and the reassurance of knowing that all measures have been taken to make the management of your home as stress free as possible We offer free property valuations and competitive negotiable fees.
