Description
"We moved into our home as a family with young children over twenty years ago, primarily due to the high-quality schools available locally, and we've been really happy here. The big lounge with the open plan dining kitchen is perfect for having friends round. The neighbours are so friendly and supportive - and the neighbourhood was ideal when our children were young. There's a small playpark on the estate and a larger play park closer to the town centre which our children loved too.
While the estate is part of Kirkintilloch, it feels like a distinct area with its own informal atmosphere, and we have always enjoyed the local country walks right from the doorstep. Our favourites are the walk along the canal or the walk past Hayston Golf Course towards Torrance.
It's now time for us to move on but we do hope that the next owners love the house and area as much as we have."
Description
Sitting in a popular estate and within Lenzie Academy catchment area, this 3-bed semi with open plan living space is sure to impress.
The front door opens into an entrance vestibule and from here, a door leads to the well-presented lounge which features a large window overlooking the front garden. The current owners have thoughtfully opened up the lounge, dining area and kitchen, creating a lovely natural flow and this space is perfect for modern family life or for entertaining friends and family. The kitchen area is bright and airy with two large windows and there is a good combination of modern wall and base units and a large cupboard for extra storage. Included in the sale are the dishwasher, fridge/freezer, induction hob purchased in November 2024, double oven and dishwasher.
Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms, both with built-in cupboard space, and a single bedroom with a custom-made raised bed which maximises the storage space available. The modern fully tiled shower room with dual outlet shower head completes the accommodation.
The garden wraps round the house on three sides and being fully enclosed at the side and back, this is an ideal garden for children or pets to play. There is also a lovely patio area, the perfect place to sit and enjoy the summer sunshine. The driveway leads to the single garage which was reroofed in June 2023.
This delightful property sits on the outskirts of Kirkintilloch and is in the catchment area for Lairdsland Primary School which feeds into the reputable Lenzie Academy. Holy Family Primary School is in nearby Lenzie and St Ninian's High School is under 1 mile from the property. Kirkintilloch Town Centre has a good variety of shops, bars and restaurants and Strathkelvin Retail Park, approximately 2.5 miles from the property, has a selection of High Street shops. The property is well placed for commuting into Glasgow either by car or bus and Lenzie Train station is approximately 2.5 miles away. For leisure, there is an extensive network of off-road paths for walkers and cyclists to explore right from the doorstep as well as a wide choice of parks, sports clubs and facilities, including Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre.
