This private, gated development is on the west side of Burwash village and only a short walk into the High Street. There are local shops including a general store, butchers, cafe, hairdressers and florist, two pubs, a church, doctor's surgery and primary school. It is a pretty village lined with Lime Trees and having brick pavements. There is a central communal field called Swan Meadow which has public tennis and basketball courts, a children's playground, cricket ground and village hall. Batemans is a well renowned National Trust House and owns much of the protected farmland to the south of Burwash. Heathfield is the nearest town for supermarkets, a more extensive range of shops and a secondary school, to which many of the Burwash children catch the bus to. The bus service also goes to Etchingham Station, into Heathfield and onto Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells. A second main line station is at Stonegate and both are only a 5 and 10 minute drive away.
