The property was built in 1855 and was Saddlers and Harness business for about 75 years, except for the period 1858 to 1870 when it was part of the newly established St Margaret’s Convent begun by John Mason Neale, the famous Victorian cleric. The flat is on the top three floors and is entered from Church Lane into the hall with stairs and a door to the rear yard.

On the first floor is a landing. The sitting room has wonderful arched windows, ceiling cornices, a wooden floor and a fireplace. The kitchen/breakfast room has built in units with shelving, wood work surfaces, butlers sink, fire place and gas boiler.
