Past the potting shed and up the steps is the lawn which is enclosed by mature trees and hedging and there is a summer house with a small decked terrace. By the side of the house is a shed and a raised bed area with a gate to the other garage which is used as workshop and has an up and over door. The second garage is to the rear of the property and is used for storage, with in internal door from the utility room and an up and over door on the lane to the side of the property. The post box is still in working order and has daily collections.
The village of Chapmanslade has a primary school, a public house just over the road from this house, a church and a village hall. The nearby towns include Warminster, Westbury and the market town of Frome. Frome is a historic market town, just under 13 miles from Bath and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The town has many amenities, including good schools, two theatres, a cinema and a station. There are main line stations in Frome and Westbury with regular services to London Paddington from Westbury.
