Description
Brickworks Says - Set within a 19th-century mansion block, the rather grand exterior belies the sanctuary of the flat inside. Calming, earthy tones capture the laid-back feel of the home, while more tactile elements, such as the natural wood floors and doors and exposed brick fireplace, add character. Keeping it classic, the eat-in kitchen is simple yet effective, with ample cupboard space, all in minimal white.
As much as the calming aesthetic, we really appreciate the thought-through features, such as the alcove unit angled for the television and the wardrobe solidly built into the bedroom. Likewise, care has been given to the recent renovation of the bathroom, where the rainfall shower head has been upgraded to bring a touch of luxury to your morning routine.
While you’d never know it from the peaceful street, Eagle Mansions is positioned in the thick of the action, with Dalston and Stokey on your doorstep, providing a choice of eclectic neighbourhoods to enjoy. Let your mood guide you. Church Street, famous for brunching and browsing, is a great way to kick off the weekend. Evolutionary Arts Hackney offers a great line-up in comedy and gigs, and good times are guaranteed in one of Dalston’s many late-night venues.
The Owners Say - We have lived in this flat for the past five years and absolutely loved it. The flat itself is quietly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Stoke Newington High Road, but just a short walk takes you to Dalston, Newington Green and Stoke Newington, where coffee shops, restaurants and cocktail bars are in abundance.
It is bittersweet to be moving, but it is time for the next chapter in our lives. We only hope that the next owners have as many laughs and as much fun as we have had here. We aren't going far and will be forever frequent visitors to Dalston—we can't go too long without popping into our favourite bar, Escudo De Cuba, which serves the best tapas in the area.
