Stepping inside, the generous entrance hall opens onto the ground floor accommodation, including a dual-aspect sitting room with a wood-burning stove and doors leading to the rear garden—an ideal space to enjoy throughout the seasons. The luxurious kitchen is fitted with stone work surfaces and offers plenty of space for a breakfast table.
From the kitchen, an all-season garden room at the rear provides a family area with open-plan access to the dining room, perfect for more formal occasions and celebrations. A further reception room adds flexibility, making a wonderful family room, study or playroom.
On the first floor there are four generous bedrooms, two with en-suites, and a family bathroom. The three bedrooms at the rear of the house enjoy views of the garden and open countryside beyond. Like the rest of the property, the bathrooms have been beautifully refitted.
The second floor offers two further bedrooms and a cloakroom, making it ideal for a large family or as study and hobby rooms.
The landscaped rear garden extends from the back of the house, providing numerous spaces to enjoy the sunshine. Well-stocked beds flank a path leading to a large lawn with a striking specimen feature tree.
Seller Insight
Keyston is an extremely desirable rural village and this immaculate, large family home, built in stone, is one of three individually designed properties backing on to a patchwork of verdant meadows and farmland. It has been a much-treasured family home for its owners for several years.
It was for professional reasons that the owners were moving to this area and, having four active children, a spacious home was high on their list.
The Stocks, with its three storeys and six large bedrooms, ticked all their boxes. In excellent condition when they moved in, but over time they have added and enhanced their home to a very high, meticulous, standard. Kitchen and bathrooms have been updated and the owners have tweaked its circulation into a home which has provided not only areas for excellent family time, including space for welcoming friends and family, but, also for their children to enjoy individual areas for study and hobbies, alongside space in which to entertain their friends. The original conservatory was replaced with a beautiful garden room overlooking the spacious garden and beyond. With access from both kitchen and other rooms, this highly functional area is very much the hub of family life and adds to the overall flexibility and connectivity of this lovely home.
The garden room opens onto a spacious patio overlooking the garden and is the perfect spot for relaxation. The garden has been professionally landscaped and embraces its fabulous location within the village and surrounding countryside. The garden has matured beautifully over the years and has many interesting aspects, plus extra areas for seating whether for sun or shade.
Keyston is a welcoming, friendly village in which many activities take place to suit all interests from friendly quiz nights, a history group, coffee mornings and youth club sessions to mention just a few. One of the many delights of the village is its gastro pub, The Pheasant, which not only serves outstanding food, but is also a popular social gathering spot. Transport is provided from the village to local schools with the nearest independent school, Kimbolton, being very close.
