Description
Treverva Farm is situated in the hamlet of Treverva overlooking the Argal Reservoir and is equidistant between the villages of Constantine, Port Navas and Penryn on the north side of the Helford River yet only 4.5 miles from the vibrant town of Falmouth. The current owners have been in residence since 2017 and have totally refurbished the Farmhouse and converted the courtyard barns into three very successful holiday lets. The three holiday lets are managed by Sykes cottages and are named the Helford, Dexter and Argal.
The Farmhouse
Ground Floor
The main entrance is off the side terrace and opens in to a wide reception hall with on the right the main reception room, to the left the kitchen dining room and ahead the staircase and the fourth bedroom. The dual aspect reception room has a bay window overlooking the courtyard, a patio door and a fireplace with a recessed log burner. The open plan dual aspect kitchen dining room has sliding doors out on to a raised terrace with great views of the hillsides beyond and the reservoir. Behind the kitchen area through an arch way is a large utility area with plumbing and space for both a washing machine and tumble drier along with a separate WC. At the end of the reception hall are double doors in to a small lobby which has its own front door and a further door in to the bedroom and bathroom. The double bedroom has French Doors out in to the garden and the bathroom has a free standing bath, WC, Sink and a separate walk in rainfall shower.
First Floor
The stairs ascend from the reception hall to a landing area off which there are three double bedrooms and the family bathroom. The landing itself has French doors opening on the flat roof of the kitchen dining room. The bathroom has a vanity unit containing cupboards, sink and WC and a walk in rainfall shower. Also off the landing is a staircase giving access to the loft area.
Helford Cottage-
The Helford is a reverse level four bedroom 3 bathroom barn. There are three bedrooms, one of which is en suite and the family bathroom on the ground floor. From the entrance lobby a very modern, glass, steel and oak staircase ascends to the first floor. The first floor has an open plan living area with partially exposed granite walls, vaulted ceiling with exposed “A” frame beams along with views of the reservoir. At the far end past the kitchen area is the fourth bedroom which is also en suite.
Dexter Cottage-
Dexter has access from both the courtyard and the parking area and is located on the ground floor. The central living/dining kitchen area is split level with the living area, family bathroom and bedroom being on the lower level and the kitchen dining and the second bedroom being on the upper level.
Argal Cottage-
is on the upper floor and is accessed from the parking area up granite steps. As Dexter below there is a central living dining area with bedrooms at either end with a central family bathroom, the only difference being that Argal is on one level.
Gardens & The Exterior- A gravelled lane leads down from the road then splits with on the right the Farmhouse and on the left the lane leading down to the stable block and the holiday barns where there is ample parking.
Acreage- The farm has approximately 11.79 acres made up of various fields/paddocks with an average size of between 1-2 acres.

Location
Treverva Farm and Holiday Barns is situated in the hamlet of Treverva overlooking the Argal Reservoir and is equidistant between the villages of Constantine, Port Navas and Penryn on the north side of the Helford River. Constantine is a busy village with a well-regarded primary school, a popular store/delicatessen with a nationally renowned range of fine wines and spirits, doctors’ surgery, a local shop and Post Office, pub, performing arts venue and church. Port Navas is centred around a handful of stone cottages at the head of the creek, with the Yacht Club with bar and excellent restaurant being the focal point and, together with the oyster house quay, the hub of the annual Port Navas Regatta. Treverva Farm and Cottages is also just a 10 minute drive to the beaches of Maenporth, Swanpool and Gyllyngvase which are dog-friendly part of the year.
The Helford River is one of the most beautiful, historic and unspoilt rivers in Cornwall, with its deep valleys, ancient oak forests and hidden creeks that cut inland along this sheltered part of the south Cornwall coast. It was renowned as a haven for pirates and inspired many writers, famously Daphne du Maurier with her Frenchman’s Creek novel. There are many small quays and secluded coves on the river to visit by boat, while a pedestrian ferry links the north and south banks. The area offers safe swimming and sailing facilities and a wonderful natural harbour from which to explore the south Cornish coast, much of which is owned and protected by the National Trust. As well as having fine coastal walks and creek paths, the area also has a mild climate suited to many sub-tropical plants, as the famous gardens of Glendurgan and Trebah illustrate so well. For the golfer the clubs at Burdock Vean, Falmouth and Mullion are less than half an hour’s drive away.
The vibrant university town of Falmouth, with its beaches, yacht marinas, National Maritime Museum, varied restaurants and The Royal Cornwall Yacht Club is just four miles away and has a variety of primary and secondary schools. The cathedral city of Truro is approximately 11 miles away and provides an excellent range of shopping and schooling facilities together with a mainline rail link to London Paddington. Cornwall Airport (Newquay) provides daily return flights to London along with other domestic and international destinations.
