LOCAL AREA INFORMATION Huntingdon is a market town famous for being the birth place of Oliver Cromwell. Located on the North Bank of the River Great Ouse with bridge access to Godmanchester and incorporating the village of Harford to the east and developing areas of Oxmoor, Stukeley Meadows and Hinchingbrooke to the north and west.

The town Centre has a market square and an abundance of local shops, supermarkets, a museum and conveniences. Within Huntingdon there is gym and leisure facilities, a cinema, cafes, public houses and restaurants. There is a local Rowing club, Huntingdon Town Football Club, fitness groups and community projects within the town and wider community. Serviced by Hinchingbrooke Hospital, there is also a Country Park and a Riverside Park with picturesque walks along the River Great Ouse. Huntingdon Racecourse, Brampton Golf Course and Hinchingbrooke Business Park are all close by.

For schools in the area there is Stukeley Meadows Primary School, St Peters School, Huntingdon Primary School, Thongsley Fields Primary & Nursery School, Huntingdon Nursery School, Spring Common Academy, Godmanchester Community Academy and Hinchingbrooke School.

Just one hour by train to London and approx. 20 mins to Peterborough. Huntingdon train station is on the East Coast Main Line, Thameslink and Great Northern routes. There is regular Stagecoach Eat and Whippet busses, with services to Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Peterborough, St Neots, Ramsey, St Ives and Cambridge. Huntingdon sits directly off the A14 and A1307 with links to Cambridge and St Ives. There is easy access to the A1, with just a short drive to Peterborough and St Neots.
