Description

Step inside
Keeper’s Cottage forms part of Glynn House, an impressive Grade II* listed mansion that stands out amongst the scenic Glynn Valley. Believed to have originally been built in the late eighteenth century, the property was rebuilt and refronted by Edmund John Glynn (High Sheriff of Cornwall in 1805) and remodelled again in 1819 after it was damaged in a fire. The property was then remodelled again circa 1833 by Sir Richard Hussey Vivian. The mansion has since been split into separate units, but still retains an abundance of period features, including ornate fireplaces, high ceilings with cornicing and large sash windows with some original shuttering Found on the eastern side of the mansion, Keeper’s Cottage is delightful attached character home. Recently redecorated throughout with new carpets, the house still retains much charm and character. The entrance hall features slate flooring and leads to all principle ground floor rooms, plus a doorway to the communal courtyard. The kitchen is fitted with base level units and is fitted with a butler sink and an oven and hob, plus space for further appliances. Off the kitchen is a small utility area, with potential to become a spacious pantry/larder. The cosy sitting room is dual aspect and includes built in shelving, and from there is the downstairs WC with basin. The stairs lead to a spacious landing with ample cupboard space. There are two double bedrooms, and a third double bedroom/dressing room. The master bedroom includes a shower cubicle. The family bathroom includes a three-piece suite and an ornamental fireplace.

Step outside
Keeper’s Cottage enjoys its own private garden which is mainly lawned with an abundance of colour. There is a communal parking area with two designated spaces, and the potential to create further parking outside the property. Glynn House stands within a picturesque countryside setting with far reaching woodland views.

Agents note: The dressing room area is positioned above the accommodation of the attached dwelling and as such comprises a Flying Freehold.
A service charge will apply for the property. Please contact the agents for further details.
