Description
We do the same as all other estate agents, we just do it that much better. How? Easy, we have better photos, a better more detailed write-up, honest opinion, we're open longer and we have normal down to earth people working with us, just like you! It's really easy to be so much better...all backed up by our fantastic Google reviews.
We completely understand just how stressful selling and buying can be as we too have been there in your shoes. We know that with the right local family business behind you every step of the way throughout this process, you'll see how much easier it is for you when you choose Berry and George Estates to help make your move better.
Listen, it's your money at the end of the day, all I try to do is help point you in the right direction - but I'd call Beth 'in-house' Voted Mortgage Broker of the year for the past three years for Free Mortgage Advice, just Google 'LoveMortgages Mold' and read their fabulous reviews, which back this up.
Sitting in that convenient band between town centre living and the seemingly desirable (but far less handy) true suburbs, we stumble across this fabulous gem of a bungalow.
In utterly immaculate condition and offering three good sized bedrooms, a brand spanking new kitchen and the sort of bathroom you admire with your nose pressed up against a high street showroom window, this is the answer for anyone allergic to DIY, as everything has already been done and done to a standard beyond the talents of a mere amateur, so you needn't feel guilty about it.
But if convenience is the true raison d'etre of bungalow living, the ease with which this home can be managed and maintained exemplifies it, leaving you with little to do other than simply enjoy your surroundings.
To the front of the home is a tiered lawn featuring a central bed of decorative conifer shrubs which give variations in colour and texture with absolutely no input from you, which in my opinion makes it perfect. This is surrounded by a textured path resembling block paving, a look that is carried over from the drive beside it and which continues past the home to the detached garage at the rear.
A dark composite front door gives access to the inner hallway where we find a glossy 'marble' ceramic floor which twinkles where the light catches reflective flakes set into its surface.... And couldn't all our lives do with a bit more sparkle?
Immediately to the left is the door into the main lounge which, running through the full extent of the building, is sufficiently large to give agoraphobics pause for thought. Kept delightfully bright by a combination of the sliding patio doors to the rear and the huge bay window overlooking the front garden this is a fabulous room. Its principal focal point being provided by the genuine marble fire surround which gives a real sense of occasion. The fact that the bay window stretches closer to the floor than you would expect seems to make the room feel even bigger, with its commanding view becoming part of the lounge. In short, it is a bit special and sets the scene for the rest of the home.
Opening the sliding patio doors we step into the attached conservatory where one wall is of solid masonry, giving a comforting air of permanence which is fitting as the room is currently in use as a formal dining room. It suits this role admirably, with ample space for a quite extravagantly proportioned suite of table and chairs and, with a large radiator to ensure the even Christmas dinner could be devoured without extra gloves, it is usable whatever the outside temperature.
The next door off the hall reveals the obviously freshly fitted kitchen where equally obviously, little expense has been spared. Marble worktops adorn the units fitted to three of the walls, providing generous amounts of preparation and storage space while housing all the technological marvels that today's cooks demand. It also leaves enough room in the centre for a small table ideal for casual dining, assuming you have no guests at the time.
One feature in here caught my eye, in the way the integrated fridge and freezer have been incorporated into what appears a plain wall and having alongside them a series of narrow cupboards, perfect for hiding away brushes, Hoovers and the like in a way that is attractive and practical in equal measure.
Outside the back door is the fully enclosed rear garden; a private haven of peace and quiet thanks in no small part to the high hedges that line its perimeter. With a lawn divided in two by a central path leading to a paved seating area this is somewhere to let the worries of the world drift away as you relax with a long drink after a hard day, or should that be a hard drink after a long day? You choose but either way, it's lovely.
From the kitchen we cross the hall to find the smallest of the bedrooms which, like so many third bedrooms is strictly a single. But that is not to denigrate it in any way as it provides all the space needed for such a role, with room for free standing furniture solving the clothes storage issue.
Moving further along the hall brings us to the bathroom, which has had a similar level of care and attention lavished on it as the kitchen.
The result of which gives a pleasing grey ceramic floor, complemented by contrasting lighter grey tiled walls and a modern suite comprising a unitary hand basin set atop an integrated storage system which also incorporates the lavatory. Adjacent to this is a traditional centre filling bath with a hand held shower attachment fed from the mixer taps and with the room being warmed by the heated towel rail attached to the combi powered central heating, this combines to give a real sense of decadence. And why not spoil yourself? It's your home after all.
Next to here we find the first of the double bedrooms, a well proportioned space benefiting from a massive set of fitted wardrobes leaving enough room to indulge yourself in your choice of additional furniture which, in the case of the current owner is in the form of twin bedside cabinets accompanying the double bed, an occasional armchair and formal dressing table with matching stool so as you see, you'll never feel cramped.
Finally, overlooking the front garden we come to the principal bedroom which as you would expect, is the largest of the three. In here the fitted wardrobes run the entire length of one wall and if that is not big enough you don't need a wardrobe, you need therapy. However if we assume you still have clothes that cannot be crammed into here, there is space in the room for a couple of substantial chests of drawers or even, as has been done here, a chaise longues and if that's not posh enough for you, then I really can't help.
