Prestleigh is a small and scenic hamlet which is not too far from the local towns of Castle Cary, Wells, Glastonbury, Bruton and Shepton Mallet. The major towns of the area being Bristol, Bath, Taunton and Yeovil, are all within commuting distance, and there are excellent road networks to London and the South.

Castle Cary train station is ten minutes away with fast links to London.

Wells, the smallest city in England, nestles close to the Mendip Hills – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty- has excellent local markets twice a week and many medieval buildings, including the Cathedral and moated Bishops Palace. Nearby, Glastonbury grew up alongside the Abbey and is a thriving major tourist area.

Moonrakers is situated on the outer edge of the hamlet down a lovely quiet country lane, a no-through-road with only occasional passing traffic.
