The Site is located within the built form to the western side of Amble. Amble is served by various local amenities, including shops, public houses and retail. The Site is well connected to surrounding areas, with easy access to bus routes and a short distance to the A1, providing a good link to nearby towns and cities.

Planning
The Site is located within the settlement boundary and is designated under the Amble Conservation Area. The statutory development plan for the area is Northumberland County Council.

The Site is registered under use Class F1 which is a school and would require change of use or planning consent for alternative uses.

The Site could be considered for residential development subject to further assessment of all material considerations such as design, amenity and highways.

As per Policy HOU 6 any development between 10 to 30 dwellings would be exempt from affordable housing requirements. Any proposed development would be required to provide a minimum 10% uplift in biodiversity and coastal mitigation contributions of £615 per dwelling.
