- The household must be first time buyers.
- You must have at least 5% deposit of the discounted price available (subject to lender criteria)
- You must be able to get a mortgage covering at least 50% of the house price.
- Your household income must not exceed £80,000 per annum.
- You are currently a resident within the Borough of Maidstone and have been for a continuous period.
- You have a close family member who has been a resident in the Maidstone Borough for a period of 5 years or more (close family members are equal to parent or child only.)
- You are employed or have an offer of employment within the Maidstone Borough. (The place of work rather than the business address must be in the borough) The employment must be for a minimum of 12 months and more than 16 hours per week.
- You are a key worker, with services going back into the Borough (please speak to the sale agent for a definition of key work.)
- You are a member of the Armed Forces, a spouse of a member of the Armed Forces or a veteran within five years of leaving the Armed Forces.

How To Apply 
1. Check your eligibility - start by contacting Connells sales agent, who will assess whether you meet the schemes criteria.
2. Affordability assessment - If eligible, our panel mortgage specialist will be in touch to complete an affordability assessment to ensure the home is financially suitable for you.
3. Application pack - if you decide to proceed, the sales agent and mortgage specialist will work together to prepare your application pack.
4. Application review - Applications will be accepted until the initial closing date. If we receive more applications then available homes, Maidstone Borough Council will review and allocate properties based on their allocation criteria.
5. Authority to proceed (ATP) - If your application is accepted an ATP is issued with details of how to pay the reservation fee.
