It is located within the Cadoxton Conservation Area as designated in January 1976 by the Vale of Glamorgan Council in recognition of the special architectural and historic interest of the area; as such the Vale of Glamorgan Council has a statutory duty to ensure that the character of the area is preserved or enhanced. In 2019 the local residents formed The Cadoxton Conservation Group which successfully maintains the character & ambience of the 300-year-old Cadoxton Village area. The group are active in maintaining the cleanliness & accessibility of the Little Hill Village green & its surrounds as detailed in the

At one time this was Cadoxton’s high street. Properties include Hillside, dated 1776, which became a public house. In 1778, William Jenkins had an argument here which led to him undertaking a public penance at St Cadoc’s. King William lV Hotel Public House, built between 1830-1837,
