Description

Located on the North Sea Coast in Kincardineshire, this TWO BEDROOM TRADITIONAL STONE COTTAGE with a generous garden is set in a charming village with stunning sea views in Johnshaven, about 30 miles south of Aberdeen and 10 miles north of Montrose.

Upon entering the accommodation, there is a hallway. In the open plan living area, there is a comfortable lounge with views of the sea, and a modern kitchen with freestanding appliances such as an oven, a washing machine and a refrigerator. There are two double bedrooms and one bathroom in this charming property.

Double-glazed windows and electric heating enhance the property. Outside, the garden is laid to lawn, which is easy to maintain. The addition of a shed provides additional storage space.

Located on the coast, Johnshaven offers some spectacular sea views and a charming harbour. Benholm and Johnshaven are rich in maritime heritage and have an internationally recognized shellfish industry.  Fish Festivals are held in the town every summer.

Due to its convenient location just off the A92, the village is popular with commuters who work in the surrounding areas.  With its heritage trails, scenic walking routes, and Blue Flag beaches, the area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. A number of golf courses are also nearby. A large village park and a village hall serve as the center of the community. Throughout the year, several events and clubs are held. There are primary schools in the village as well as a private school (Lathallan) and secondary education in Stonehaven. For those who enjoy dining out, there are the Hidden Treasures Café and The Anchor Hotel. Also, the Lobster shop serves fresh seafood, even lobster toasties. The village has a well-stocked shop and hairdresser.

A good public transportation network makes traveling to nearby towns and cities easy.  The bus route connecting Johnshaven with Montrose and Aberdeen runs every hour.  Approximately 14 miles away are Stonehaven, Montrose, and Laurencekirk train stations.

It is amazing how much there is to do for a small village. It is loved by the people who live here.  Our guess is that you will too.
