Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

My apartment within the complex is very conveniently situated close to the city centre for all aspects of shopping, the gym and with me having on site parking it’s great.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

If I raise any issues the building management they try to solve the problem as soon as possible

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I was asked to give some feedback on my time at highfield apartment 104. I moved in on the 1st of march 2024. I found the apartment suited me very well and everything was ok when I moved in. one thing that I didn't expect was the high cost in winter to keep the apartment at 24 centigrade. While there was no issue with paying the bill I did think it was high for the time of year with it being a one bedroom apartment and wondered if the block had been built with sufficient insulation. Another ongoing issue is the builders who are on site rectifying an issue in the complex and a couple of times my car has been covered in debris. I had the car cleaned and was paid for doing so. There has been an ongoing issue with the door leading into highfield from the car park with it not locking when shut, at this time the lock has been removed from the door so it is just shut without being locked. I have pointed out minor things I have seen on a daily basis as I am walking to and from my car and the staff make sure things are sorted very quickly. I know with the economy when running a building like Highfield there are tight financial constraints but I do get a feeling that it feels like everything is tied down on a tight budget.Simple things like the walkway to the lift from the car park entrance and the lifts themselves always seem dirty. its slightly better now but it has put me off from having people around sometimes. One of the highlights of staying at the apartment has been the friendly and helpful staff. On the many times I have popped downstairs to go out or popping back there is always a friendly face to greet me which is great. It is the first time i have rented an apartment and on the whole it has been a good experience, it is very close to things in the city and with the on site parking, it has made my life very easy. im looking forward to the rest of my stay at highfield as the summer months go on

    Manager's response

Dear John, Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review. We’re really pleased to hear that your first experience of renting an apartment has been a positive one overall, and that Highfield has suited your needs—particularly with the convenience of the location and on-site parking. Your kind words about the team are greatly appreciated; it means a lot to know their friendliness and support have made a difference to your day-to-day experience. We also take your comments about heating costs, insulation, and shared areas seriously. Your feedback has been noted and will be shared with the wider team, especially regarding the car park door and overall cleanliness—we know how important these details are. Thanks again for your feedback, and we’re glad to have you with us as we head into the summer months. Best regards, Peter Benko Community and Operations Manager

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is very well connected; not only with other parts of Coventry, but also to other cities. The local high street, restaurants, supermarkets and healthcare services (to name a few) are all a short drive and/or walk away.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

While there are formal processes to raising concerns, the team have been very responsive in addressing concerns quickly via informal channels too. They have been solution focused, ensuring and keeping resident experience at the centre throughout the process(es).

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That I wouldn’t need the heating on as much (the apartments are well insulated)!

    Manager's response

Dear B, Thank you for your kind and considered review. We're so pleased to hear that your experience at Elliott’s Yard has been a positive one and that you’ve felt supported by the team throughout your time with us. It’s great to know the insulation has made a difference and that the communal areas and convenient location have added to your overall comfort. We really appreciate your comments about our approach to communication—being responsive and resident-focused is exactly what we aim for. Thank you again for your recommendation! Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is very centrally located, making it extremely convenient for daily life. It’s within walking distance to a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes, offering plenty of options for dining and shopping. Public transportation is also excellent, with buses running frequently and providing easy access to other parts of the city. Parking is available at Elliot’s Yard, which is a great convenience for residents. Additionally, the bin collection is well-managed, with frequent pickups and good cleanliness standards. The street itself is peaceful, with little traffic noise, making it a quiet and pleasant place to live. There is also good security in the area, and you feel very safe living here. Overall, it’s a great place to live with everything you need close by

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

As soon as you move in, you get access to a portal where you can raise any issues or concerns, which makes communication with the building management very easy. They are very quick to respond and address any problems, whether you report them through the portal or by calling directly. Their efficiency in handling issues is impressive, and they ensure that everything is resolved promptly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I knew before moving in is how convenient the location really is. I knew it was central, but I didn’t realize just how close everything would be—shops, restaurants, and public transport are all within easy reach. It has made daily life so much easier than I expected!

    Manager's response
