3Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Located close to train station and Hove shops. Generally quiet and modern. Poor back house management lets down residents and front house team
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Front office yes but zero follow through where it mattered
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That the offers of free passes etc were largely nonsense

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
It is perfectly situated with Kelham island only about a 2 min walk with lots of amazing bars and restaurants. Public transport or trains is just little hop and a skip which is perfect for getting to anywhere in the UK! The area itself feels very homely and not noisy at all!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building is very efficient with sorting out any problems that may arise! If there are any inconvenience that may come from the work they have to do to get the problem fixed, they really do go above and beyond to make sure you are still comfortable.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Make sure that you don’t leave the viewing having any questions still on your mind. The agents are really helpful and take their time to answer any and all of your questions.

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
We have a great selection with both Tesco, M&S and Sainsbury’s within 5-10 minute walking distance. The restaurants around are also nice and cozy, especially the Open Page pub.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Super quickly and effectively, if I have an issue with anything in the studio it is always fixed within 1 or 2 days. Truly great!
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish perhaps I knew that it is a cost to use the washing machines and dryers. It is not a lot but maybe something to think about. Other than that Sunday Mills has truly exceeded my expectations. One of the best things about the studios and common spaces are the air conditioning, in the winter you can enjoy your toasty studio and in the summer you just turn the cooling on.

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The local area is great! It is surrounded by lots of amazing restaurants and cafes. We are literally right next door to our favourite restaurant in Glasgow (bucks bar). Everything is in walking distance and despite being next to a pub we rarely see any antisocial behaviour.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We had an issue with our window and have had the help from all staff to try and get it sorted as quickly as possible. They’ve all always been very polite and friendly.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
With the mail in the mail room sometimes you don’t get a code sent to your email. You can sort this on the screen by putting in your email and it will send you an email to give you a code.

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in my local area has both positives and negatives. On the positive side, there’s a decent variety of local shops and restaurants, including independent cafés and takeaways, as well as a few well-known supermarkets. The quality is generally good, and prices are reasonable. We also have a few nice parks within walking distance, which are great for families and dog walkers. Transport links are fairly convenient, with frequent buses and a train station nearby that connects to the city centre in under 20 minutes. However, rush hour services can be overcrowded, and road traffic builds up easily during peak times. My street is generally quiet and family-friendly. Parking is available but can be competitive in the evenings. Bin collections are usually reliable, though missed collections do happen occasionally. There’s minimal anti-social behaviour, but you do hear traffic noise during busy periods.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management has been generally responsive, addressing most issues within a reasonable timeframe. However, communication about longer-term repairs or planned works could be improved for better transparency. Harita is so nice and does a nice check before moving out. And I will be really missing the day at wood street house.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how noisy the bin collection can be early in the mornings—especially if your windows face the street or communal bins. It’s also worth checking how strong the mobile signal is inside the flat, as coverage can be patchy in certain parts of the building. I’d also recommend asking about the heating system—ours is centralised, and while efficient, it means less control over when it turns on in shoulder seasons. A helpful tip for new neighbours: get to know the building manager early on—they’re key to resolving small issues quickly.
