1. What attracted you to the property when you bought it?

We fell in love with this end-terrace home for its ideal location in Pembury, offering the perfect balance of peaceful village life while remaining close to Tunbridge Wells' amenities. The area boasts excellent schools, including highly regarded grammar schools, making it perfect for families. The property was move-in ready with no immediate work needed, and as an end-terrace, we've enjoyed a larger garden than most neighbours—perfect for relaxation and for our dog to play in. Its combination of location, educational options, and ready-to-live condition made it stand out immediately.

2. What improvements have you made to the house?

We've modernised the home with several thoughtful upgrades. We renovated one bathroom with contemporary tiles and added a second bathroom with shower, both with toilets—ideal for busy family mornings. Throughout the house, we installed plush carpeting and French blinds for comfort and improved insulation. The kitchen received a stylish new gas cooker, enhancing both functionality and appearance. In the garden, we upgraded the fencing and built decking that captures the evening sunshine—a particular advantage of our end-terrace position. We also replaced the mains water pipe, significantly improving water pressure throughout the home.

3. What have you enjoyed about living there?

The location offers exceptional convenience—the public car park opposite makes parking effortless, while having the library and GP surgery just steps away has been invaluable. Pembury Hospital is only five minutes by car, and quick access to the A21 (two minutes away) and three nearby train stations makes commuting or day trips easy. We've been blessed with amazing neighbours who truly embody community spirit—the kind of people you can call on for help and who will thoughtfully take your bins out when you're away. The village itself provides a wonderful lifestyle with three friendly pubs, local shops, and the Pembury School House Nursery nearby. We've particularly enjoyed walks through the adjacent park and Pembury Forest with our dog. The community is warm and welcoming, with everything needed for daily life within easy reach. Pembury offers the perfect setting for both young families, with its excellent schools and safe environment, and older couples seeking a peaceful yet well-connected place to call home. The natural beauty of the surrounding countryside, combined with easy access to Tunbridge Wells' cultural attractions, creates a truly balanced lifestyle.
