Great Rollright is an attractive and popular Conservation village situated in the Oxfordshire countryside between the market towns of Banbury (11.5 miles) and Chipping Norton (3 miles). In the village there is a primary school (Good Ofsted rating at time of print, May 2025), village hall, St Andrews Church which is renowned for its old Norman archway and dates back to 1150, Ebenezer Chapel which dates back to 1833. There are nursey provisions provided by both The Willow On The Farm nursery (4 miles) and Ace Nursery in Chipping Norton. Hook Norton (3 miles) has a village shop, doctors, dentist surgery and vets. Wyatts farm shop less than a mile away is the nearest garden centre and coffee shop.

The larger shopping centres of Chipping Norton and Banbury offer more extensive day to day requirements with a wide variety of shops, public houses, schools and recreational and community centres and facilities. Bloxham village (9 miles) is well served by private schools with Bloxham public school, nearby Tudor Hall and Sibford which also offers both Junior and Senior Schools. Kitebrook near Moreton-in-Marsh is also a sought after junior school. This particular area offers a wide range of local comprehensive and primary education which can be found in Chipping Norton.

From Banbury there is a mainline rail station with services to London Marylebone (from 56 minutes) and connections to the M40 motorway at Junction 11. In Moreton-in-Marsh there is a mainline rail station to London/Paddington (from 88 minutes), as well as Charlbury and Kingham stations..
