Dovecote Riverside Caravan Park and Moorings, Welford Road, Barton, Bidford-on-Avon, Alcester

Dovecote Riverside Caravan Park is an attractive holiday park located on the frontage of the picturesque River Avon. Initially having been established in 1979 and following a series of planning applications across the decades, Dovecote Riverside Caravan Park now benefits from planning permission to operate as a 40 pitch holiday park for ten months between 1 March to 31 December. Acquired by its current proprietors in 2018, they have maintained the park to a good standard and it is developed for 38 single units. Dovecote Moorings has been in use since the 1980s and provides moorings along the River Avon for up to 24 cruiser, wide beam or narrowboats. Forest Bank Moorings is situated a short distance to the east, which having received planning permission in 2013 was then built by the current owners. Forest Bank Moorings was constructed to a high standard, with a cantilever system, 17 wide and stable floating pontoon berths, with electric hook ups and the basin benefits from a private, gated car park.

Dovecote Riverside Caravan Park, Dovecote Moorings and Forest Bank Moorings are situated in Barton, Warwickshire. The idyllic village is within walking distance and provides a local pub. Bidford-on-Avon, a large village and civil parish, is also within walking distance, around 1.6 miles northeast, where a variety of independent businesses are located. More extensive commercial facilities can be found in Alcester, a historic market town located just short of seven miles north.
