Melissa and Tom developed an interest in the private rental sector over 10 years ago, Tom with his many years of construction experience and meeting landlords along the way. Melissa with a career in social deprivation and public services could clearly see the need for reputable landlords.

With no experience in managing rental properties they entrusted an agency to manage their properties, after several months the service wasn't at all what was expected for them nor their tenants. Melissa decided to retrain and self-manage the properties. As their portfolio began to expand it became clear that they were delivering a high quality managed service and felt that everyone should have access to an agent that can give them the service they need.

In 2023 Clews & Co Lettings was created, an agency that offers a bespoke managed service, a friend and mentor for guidance and a trusted companion for the journey.....

Melissa realised very quickly that to offer the best service she needed the best team to assist her. Courtney soon came on board to help from the very early stages.

Melissa and Courtney previously worked together within the Welfare to Work sector, finding a passion for skills development and helping others. So the opportunity to collaborate together again was an exciting development.

With an established relationship and an understanding of one another's work style both have been able to progress the agency to fill the gap in the market.
