Description

This is a lovely characterful home that has been sympathetically renovated by the current owners , to offer an upgraded yet quirky home .

Besides the attractive aesthetic changes the house has been fully rewired and plumbed, floors retiled throughout , had the original roofs renovated with strengthening and new tiling on the back section , internal doors and the majority of windows upgraded too , it now presents a comfortable colourful home ready to live in , with scope to add another level of terracing to give the open views that many people yearn for .

On the ground floor entering you have a lovely tiled wide hallway, off which to the left is spacious lounge come guest bedroom with built Moroccan style seating bench and sofa bed, off this is a cool double bedroom with rustic finished plaster work .At the end of the hallway there is a large bathroom with built vanity and storage , and an open shower area , wet room style , the loo is located in an alcove off the bathroom space . There are two storage areas on this level , one under the stairs and the other off the bathroom , always handy .

As the outside space is located off the first floor the owners have converted the first floor of this home into the main living area , up the single flight of stairs you enter on to a large landing which now serves as a dining room with original beamed ceiling giving it charm and height . The double bedroom located at the front on this level is light and bright and maintains the charming beamed ceilings too.

To the rear of the dining area double doors lead through to the open plan lounge and kitchen , there is a rustic built kitchen area , with clever built in storage in the walls, open shelving and a shelving unit that provides both work top and a divider between kitchen and lounge areas , the kitchen is fitted with an induction hob , electric oven and an undercounter fridge, a window over looks the patio.

The lounge area is light and spacious with the full glass UPVC door out to the patio .

This patio is just lovely ! the space really has been made the most of , there is an attractive L shaped built seating area ranged around and original fire place that was once hidden away in a basic outdoor kitchen / shed . Of course as the name suggests the patio not only has the traditional lemon tree laden with fruit but a very rare Lime tree as well ! there is a small splash pool that has seating within it , this has not been developed as a proper plunge pool , but more like a paddling pool to be filled and emptied as required , though adding filters and a pump can be looked into .

To the rear of the patio there is a staircase that leads up to a top level , this area still needs to be worked on but in doing so you can create a mirador terrace which will give you good views out to the mountains.

With the colourful finishes and the overall appearance , the private patio area and the scope to create more outside space this home offers a lot in one package. The location is also great , set within the old town of Olvera on a wide street with parking and very easy access to the long flat village paseo of the Vereda Ancha ,where there is more easy parking , several shops and bars , and further amenities within a short walk.
