    I’ve been very happy living in my local area. One of the best aspects is its central location-you’re close to everything you need, from shops and restaurants to public transport, which makes daily life convenient and enjoyable. Despite being in the centre, it doesn’t feel overcrowded or hectic; there’s a real sense of balance here. In the evenings, the area is generally peaceful and quiet, which is something I really value compared to other more bustling parts of the city.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    The building management has been very responsive whenever I’ve raised any problems or issues. They handle requests quickly and professionally, and always keep me updated on the progress. Whether it’s a maintenance concern or a general question, the team is approachable and proactive in finding solutions. I’ve felt listened to and supported every time I’ve reached out, which makes a big difference in feeling comfortable and at home here.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    The working hub in the building is a great resource, but I think it could feel even nicer and more inviting to use. Right now, it sometimes feels a bit too much like working in a library, where you feel you need to be extra quiet. Adding some gentle background office music or ambient sounds could make a big difference-helping to create a more relaxed and collaborative atmosphere, rather than a silent one

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    The area is perfect (for me) as its really close to the city centre but not in the thick of it which means its nice and quiet which I really like. Its really close to lots of delicious bakeries and cafe's and just a ver short walk into the city centre.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    The onsite team have been incredible ! They are always on hand to help in any situation and always there for a friendly chat. I will miss them :)

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    hmmmm I didn't know about the complimentary tea downstairs until just now ! I dont have anything bad to comment on - my experience here has been amazing and I am sad to leave !

    Everything you need is walkable distance, centre of town is very accessible on foot. Gym nearby and in the building. Shops nearby.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    Yes, we had a leak and it was fixed the next day. Happy place. Good building.

    I've recently moved into The Castings and chose it primarily for the area. As someone new to Manchester, it's a fantastic location and I'm able to walk to anywhere in the centre of the city within 20-25 mins, with Piccadilly only 5 mins away. There's really good local amenities on the same street, including a lovely Sainsburys.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    Very quickly, same day service and came back the next day to fix the issue.

    Living in The Castings, Manchester has been a great experience. The area has a fantastic range of local shops, cafés, restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The nearby open spaces, like Angel Meadow and Cotton Field Park, are perfect for relaxing or getting some fresh air. Public transport is excellent with Piccadilly Station just a short walk away, offering easy access to trams and trains. The area feels safe and well-maintained, and bin collections are reliable. The community is friendly and the street is generally quiet with minimal traffic noise.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    The building management at The Castings has been excellent. Any issues I’ve raised, whether minor maintenance or general queries, have been dealt with quickly and professionally. Communication is clear and friendly, and they genuinely seem to care about residents’ comfort and satisfaction.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    Honestly, everything has been pretty much as expected.
