Ponsharden Cottages are conveniently located towards the foot of Dracaena Avenue, situated on the riverside, between Ponsharden Boatyard and Falmouth Marina, which is visible from the rear of the first floor, together with glimpses of the Penryn River. Ponsharden Cottages are approximately equidistant to both Falmouth and Penryn town centres, both are just under a mile away and are served by a regular bus service.
There are a range of facilities right 'on the doorstep'. In the adjacent Falmouth Marina there is a chandlery, hairdressing salon and Upperdeck restaurant and bar. Sainsbury's supermarket is located up a little slip road opposite, and Falmouth town can be reached along North Parade which is a mostly level path, and of course here you can find a wide range of eating establishments, business and shopping facilities.
Falmouth is exceptionally located on the south coast of Cornwall, well connected by roads and train services to the rest of the county and beyond. Swathed in maritime history, Falmouth is now a vibrant hub for sporting and cultural pursuits. The south Cornish coast offers fabulous hiking trails and water sports opportunities just a stone's throw away and there are numerous yacht and sailing clubs with some of the finest day sailing waters in the UK. Additionally, Falmouth is also a centre for the Arts in Cornwall, with the Princess Pavilion and The Poly offering a rich programme of events throughout the year.
