There’s a great variety of local shops, supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants within walking distance, offering both convenience and quality. The open spaces and nearby parks are well-maintained and perfect for relaxing or exercising. Transport links are excellent, with frequent buses and nearby train and underground stations making commuting easy and reliable. Our street is generally peaceful with minimal traffic noise, and parking is usually available. Bin collections are regular, and the area feels clean and safe. Anti-social behaviour is very rare, and there’s a strong sense of community among residents.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
I really enjoy living in this area. I love the large variety of food available locally and the convenience of having grocery shops right by our doorstep. As someone who doesn't drive, I use Uber a lot and I always have extremely fast access to an Uber as there are so many. They arrive literally a minute or two after ordering. Not to mention the public transport, that's also great! The only negative that I have experienced is the on-going construction whether it's new buildings or even road works. Sometimes even leading to roads being closed for a while. This can cause some small issues. But as someone who works from home and with having everything in walking distance, it isn't bad at all. If anything, it's exciting to see what's new!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We've never really had any issues other than small things such as the spotlights stopping working. But we were able to access the portal and submit a maintenance request quickly and easily and they were able to fix it a few days later! Even without problems raised we have midterm inspections which doesn't sound very exciting however as mentioned prior we recently had one with a lovely man, Rasheed. He was able to look over everything to make sure it's working as it should be and was able to answer any questions that I had which was super helpful!
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Fortunately we knew this before moving in but the direction your apartment is facing is quite important in regards to the sun. I'm sure some apartments get hotter than others so that is one thing to keep in mind. Also the view from your apartment can vary depending on where it's located. Some are facing the other towers and others like mine have a great city view! All personal preference but definitely something to keep in mind. Another one is whether you want your apartment furnished or unfurnished. If you get your apartment furnished then you have to keep the furniture or at least put it away into storage (your own storage) and put it back how it was when you plan on leaving. Building management cannot take and store any of the furniture for you. This is important to know as if you get a fully furnished apartment and end up wanting a new sofa for example. Unless you put the sofa in storage yourself, there is nothing they can do.
Manager's response5Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review. We’re absolutely delighted to hear how much you continue to enjoy life at Deansgate Square—even after nearly two years! Your kind words about the design and atmosphere of the development truly mean a lot. We're so pleased that the architecture, communal spaces, and seasonal touches like the Christmas lights and summer events have helped make your home feel special. It’s exactly the kind of environment we strive to create—a vibrant, welcoming community that’s more than just a place to live. We're especially glad to hear how much you’re enjoying the on-site facilities—from the gym and pool to the workspaces and terrace. It’s fantastic to know you’ve made such great use of the amenities, and that they’ve become part of your daily routine. Thank you also for your lovely feedback about Rasheed and our wider building management team. We’re so proud of the service they provide, and it’s always wonderful to hear that their efforts are appreciated. We’ll be sure to pass on your compliments. We completely understand your thoughts on air conditioning—it’s something we know can be challenging in the warmer months, especially with the beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows. While it may not be feasible across all apartments due to infrastructure constraints, we’re always exploring ways to improve comfort where possible. Your comments about the area are equally appreciated. We're glad to hear that the local food scene, nearby amenities, and convenient transport options enhance your experience. And yes—the construction can be a bit of a trade-off, but we love your positive take on the excitement of seeing the city evolve. Lastly, thank you for sharing your tips for prospective residents. Insights like yours are incredibly valuable to others considering a move here, and we appreciate the time you’ve taken to share them. Once again, thank you for being part of our community and for your continued support. We’re truly grateful to have you with us and are always here should you need anything.
