There are local shops close by in Combe Down and an excellent range of shopping, social and leisure facilities in the city of Bath itself. The M4 motorway Junction 18 is situated 10 miles north of the city and there are regular fast trains to London Paddington from Bath Spa Station.

There are a range of local schools with Beechen Cliff and Hayesfield School nearby, whilst Combe Down offers co-ed in Ralph Allen and Combe Down Primary School. The independent schools of Monkton Combe and Prior Park are also nearby.
